Oxford is said to have commissioned the first major licensed expeditions into the Thames ruins in 3956 A.C. The Oxford commissions and the mixed ruin companies that followed them made some of the earliest recoveries from the old capital, among them the Brass Tide Seal and the Bride Ledger Casket.
