The priory's infirmary at Harrowgate. It keeps four rooms behind the main ward for men who have come out of the deep ruins wrong, and it takes them in without question or charge.

Its day book records eleven such men in the present infirmarer's nineteen years. Six recovered, three were sent to the county town on the bishop's order, and two remain. The book describes behaviour and never gives a diagnosis. The priory has treated these men as afflicted rather than possessed, blessing them but never exorcising. A company may read the day book if the infirmarer is present.
