Harrowgate chapter

It has twice failed to bring marcher bound-walking into line with the south, refused twice to pay pact families, forbade the old fen word for the reed creatures from the pulpit, and records strange reports without comment. It recites that powers are not persons while filing terms that treat them as bound, an inconsistency its officers know. The fen does not trust that it means its written position on burying afflicted families. Its interdict roll gives date, place and finding. It is the only one of the four closing authorities that records why, so it is well worth consulting. It has never described some of the failures behind deconsecrations. The priory's own chapter house holds the brothers' competing positions. The text does not settle whether this is the same chapter.
