Cinders mission

The mission of the Cinders, whose women say office weekly at the nine acres, carry bread and light into the made ground on Tuesdays and Fridays, and keep a day book of children and complaints. It holds the city's only record of unquiet ground and of the 190 Cinders names taken to Cambridge in the fever years.

A mission in Sarrum's worst district that burns the dead, says the burial office over the fire, and keeps a day book naming whom it can; of a hundred and ninety burnt in eleven years it can name about sixty. The mission room in the Cinders, whose day book records the first days of hundreds of arrivals and the only standing body in the ash.

Losing the mission loses the Cinders.
