Britannic Deepworks Company

A London-directed chartered company holding the principal deep-mineral concessions around Sarrum, letting much of the extraction to subcontractors; it keeps a private receiving mast off the Blackdown road.

A Sarrum charter concern keeping one of three small private receiving grounds for skyships, carrying directors, examiners, urgent samples, drawings and costly components. A charter company working deep ground, which publishes accident figures and nothing occult and gives its green-coal reserve figures in sealed reports to Westminster.

It will not say what salvage it takes, and nobody in the march knows what it does with the metal. This is the one part of the district's trade kept secret from the district itself.
